Derek–You are amazing!
Your story may bring justice to millions. Bryan Ranes’ accident was deep and dark. He was poisoned for a month by a prescription medication. During the second week he stated to hear a ticking in his head, which developed into a movement disorder in his throat. I was very moved when you said your condition can sometimes be overwilming and you brushed back a tear, while you spoke with Dr. Reeves. Bryan lost the sound of silence. Just as you always see the black and white blocks he always hears his damage. As you may know plaintiff’s must prove “causation” with the service of a medical expert.
Bryan’s expert was the director of the Iowa poison control center for 28 years.
The Iowa Supreme Court said the medical toxicologist was qualified but not reliable [because he could not sight another case like Bryan's.] So Bryan never got his day in court. The taxpayers will bear the burden of the defendants errors. The billion dollar defendants walked away . It’s been 9 years!
With your story the courts should understand that nothing is impossible concerning brain injury!
.
Bryan’s Mayo doctors are Britton, Stevens and Masumoto. Bryan was Presidential physical fitness receipient for 6 years—always drug free until he was sold prescription phenylpropanolamine 16 months after FDA withdrawl and 10 months after reformulation. We are heartbroken.
If you are interested you can hear him tell his story on YouTube-Bryan Ranes Centerville Iowa.
I love piano music, but I never learned to play!
Derek,
Thank you so much for friending me on Facebook. This gives us such hope in regards to our Bethany who sustained a traumatic brain injury on May 20th 2011. I look forward to talking with you more in the future.
